CTE/GEAR UP Advanced Manufacturing Day

On Tuesday, November 18, 2014 over 30 CTE/GEAR-UP students along with STEM and Trades & Industrial Instructors, Mr. Kevin Goins, Mrs. Monica Whitehead,  and Mr. Patrick Williams visited Richmond Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Program, Service Thread, and FCC. Students and instructors were provided with valuable information on pathway programs available at RCC as an extension to the existing STEM and T&I Programs available through Scotland County Schools CTE Program. Additionally, Service Thread and FCC allowed students to tour the facilities and learn of potential career opportunities through these organizations. Special thanks to Katja Wallin and Ranjel Moore, Gear-Up Coordinators for organizing this event.
