SCS FFA assist with the ‘Seed Survivor’ program at Wagram Elementary

In partnership with Scotland High School’s Agriculture Program and FFA Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO), Wagram Elementary students had the opportunity to participate in the ‘Seed Survivor’ program on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. ‘Seed Survivor’ is a curriculum-based program that teaches elementary students howto grow healthy plants (focusing on water, sunlight, soil and nutrients) and where food comes from. The students enjoyed interactive displays, fun presentations, educational videos, interactive computer games and hands-on seed planting activities. FFA members who assisted with the program included Bryce Charleson, Kenneth Stokes, Tabitha  Dunn, Peggy Maynor, and Jacklyn Lavareo​. Scotland County Schools Agricultural Teachers and FFA Advisors are Reid Ledbetter and Jada Taylor.
