Health Science Classes Learn CPR
Health Science II Honor students are learning to save lives and obtain the American Heart Association CPR Certification (AHA CPR). The AHA CPR is a practical application and is useful in many emergencies. Through this lifesaving technique, students learned how CPR can keep oxygenated blood flowing to the brain and other vital organs until more definitive medical treatment can restore a normal heart rhythm. These are necessary skills for all future Healthcare Professionals. The students perfected these life-saving skills for adults, children and infants while acting out various scenarios. They also learned and practiced the proper use of AED’s, a device used to deliver a shock that will restart the heart.
